The Club For The Download Addict

This is the club to join if you are 1) an indie music lover, and a 2) download addict. No more worries about infringing copyright laws.
That's because Nokia has launched a website to promote homegrown music talents. The site, Independent Artists Club, is an online stage for indie singers and bands to showcase their work.
Visitors can stream music on the site while registered users can download five tracks per month for free. And if you own a Nokia, that makes you a VIP which means you can double your quota to ten free songs monthly.
Why the stingy quota? According to the FAQ on the site, they want to feature only the best new music, so users will have to practise discernment. If you want more songs, wait for the next month. (Either that, or get your friends to sign up too and swap songs on your own.)
In the pipeline: registered users will soon be able to upload their own music in the hope of being featured on the site as well. As with those already available for download, a panel of "expert" judges will decide which tracks make the cut.
So if you're all for indie music, or support homegrown talents, this is the place to show it and satisfy your compulsive urges.

I'm the 'e' in my moniker - the quirk in a common name.
I like sampling strange, random things and experiences. And meeting eccentric folks, instead of boringly bland people.
