The wait is over! Sebastian Tan a.k.a.Broadway Beng returns with a “super- size” comedy cabaret at THE ESPLANADE! It’s time to Jiak Liu Lian! (Eat durian!)

What does the Queen of England have in common with the Broadway Beng? Which musical will he ‘Hokkien-nize’? Why is Beng fashion always so ‘orbit’ (Off-beat)? Come watch the show and find out!
From the line-dancing auntie at the community centre to the stylo-mylo, laptop-toting yuppie, audiences have been entertained by Broadway Beng’s misadventures as a Hokkien-speaking, Broadway-singing, true-blue Beng from ‘Ang Swa’ (Redhill).

This fourth installment promises more glitz, more glamour and more side- splitting laughter as Broadway Beng takes on the Liu Lian... er, we mean, The Esplanade, with his 8 all-singing, all-dancing Chio Buus and 5-piece Ge-Tai band.

Broadway Beng quips, “Lai Kua (Come see)! This big durian is super tok kong (powerful). This one better than all other durians. Once you jiak (eat), sure want more!”

A few words from the Director, Royston Tan:

"I'm a fan of Broadway Beng and even watched the first installment (2006) twice! It is very rare for a film director to be given the opportunity to direct a stage production so I'm very excited about the possibilities. Also, when I first saw Broadway Beng, it was at the DBS Arts Centre and now the show has grown and will be staged at the Esplanade. Bringing a fresh perspective to this show is something I am really looking forward to do. I think the experience gained from working on my film, 881, will come in handy!"
