Rhinoceros is a contemporary dance work inspired by Eugène Ionesco’s play and takes a look at the absurdity of modern life. The conflict between what appears superficially and what is hidden inside – are we human or beast? The dual side of human nature, the hidden and unconscious brutality and the love to fulfill desires may have made us a rhinoceros. We live in the times of “mutation”. With the devastation of our nature, we may be already been living our lives as rhinoceroses. Blind (and false) truths have caused our mind and body to be taken ill and placed in a reality without knowing how to get out of the situation.
