Fifo Food Review > Go India
Curry so delicious you could drink it like soup!
Restaurant Review by jarrold September 20, 2007 1022 views
Recently my friend and I had a craving for Indian, food so we decided to give this new place a shot. We had the Paneer goats cheese thing ($16) and the yogurt ginger lamb curry ($18), and the chicken butter curry ($16). We also ordered 2 servings of garlic butter na'an ($5/serving).
Ok, we definitely over ordered for the two of us. The food was surprisingly good though. I really loved the curry, I was practically drinking it like soup. There were huge pieces of cheese that when combined with the curry (that was not overly salty) made a very delicous combo.
The yogurt lamb was also refreshing, with the curry rich but not too overwhelming. The lamb pieces were of good cut, no hard ligaments or chunky fat. The chicken butter curry too turned out well, with the chicken meat being very tender and tasty. Again the curry was not too rich.
The ambiance was pretty good as it faced sentosa from Vivo City (but now the IR is being built so that's kind of an eye sore).
Service was also very pleasant, the staff (mostly from India, Nepal) were very friendly (unlike some local service staff). One of the managers even 'stole' a Japanese couple's cute baby and gave him the grand tour of the restaurant.
Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back again to try the rest of their offerings. They also have a lunch buffet ($18) from noon - 3pm, so yes, maybe I'll give that a try!
