Last year, I fulfilled one of my wish on my wishlist - to have an afternoon tea at a park. Don't get me wrong, I did not pack my own picnic basket and park myself at a park. Instead, I dolled up and together with 3 other girlfriends, we went to a park and had tea.

It is amazing to know that a cafe is situated in a park close to us as heartlanders. Located at Bishan Park, the Green Room Cafe offers exquisite French influenced cakes & pastries from renowned Centre Ps where an established pastry chef helms that shop. In the lush alfresco setting, the foursome girls really had a great afternoon.

Here's what on my afternoon tea menu:

3 petit au petit cakes or pastries
2 finger sandwiches
1 buttery scone with fresh cream, butter and jam
Coffee or Tea of your choice

$12++ per pax

Every weekday, 2pm to 5pm

I personally am a fan of Center Ps pastries and being able to share it with my friends was a pleasurable joy! We had 2 sets of afternoon tea so we tried all 6 different types of pastries that were on the menu. Absolutely heavenly!

Sherm ordered her beef burger that was served in a relatively big portion which was juicy and tender. We were quite suprised that the waiter asked how we would like to have our beef to be. Medium-rare and it was served as requested! Thumbs up for that!

Viv ordered sausages that came with mashed potatoes. They were quite delicious and reminded me of German sausages which I had tried before in my previous workplace. To complete our high tea experience, we had a stroll, walking and exploring the nature in the quiet afternoon.

There I was, enjoying my garden experience with 3 friends and ending the year on a sweet note.  Wouldn't you like to experience it too?
